Ball Python
Simon the ball python was brought to Noah’s Ark all the way from Michigan after authorities discovered him and two other snakes abandoned in a basement. Ball pythons are probably the most popular pet snakes, and for good reason: when they become frightened, they “ball” up and cover their heads, instead of striking out. As an adult they are reach very manageable size of 3-4 feet and once on an established care routine, make for hardy, gentle, fairly low maintenance pets. Despite what he’s been through, Simon is our go to guy for educational or hands on demonstrations because of his easy going nature. These snakes have a lifespan of roughly 20-25 years so hopefully Simon will be with us for a long time!
